The last known living person born in the 19th century will be celebrating her 117th birthday tomorrow.
Susannah Mushatt Jones of New York passed away earlier this year on May 6th. he was 116 years, 6 months, and 6 days old and was the only other known living person to have been born during the 1800s.
Morano now holds the Guinness world record as being the only known person alive born in the 19th century
"I eat two eggs a day, and that’s it. And cookies. But I do not eat much because I have no teeth."
Morano's been on the two-eggs-a-day and cookies diet since she was 20. And although Morano's case could be entirely exceptional, it does echo some studies that strongly praise restricted-calorie diets as the key to longer life.
As for the cookies, it wasn't specified, but as an old-school native of Italy, it's hard to imagine Morano would be messing with some pre-packaged nonsense.
