Ariana hinted she had a new man while self-isolating amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Social distancing doesn't need to be lonely — especially when you get to do it with your new beau. In March 2020, Ariana started sharing photos on an Instagram with a certain someone who she'd chosen to isolate herself with.

Clearly, she was trying to keep the details of her new relationship on the low, because she didn't shared the guy's face at the time. That didn't stop people from trying to guess who he was. Eventually, it was revealed that the new fella in Ariana's life was Dalton Gomez. The pair became "Instagram official," and Dalton even appeared in her “Stuck With U” music video.

Ariana and Dalton got married in May 2021.

On May 17, 2021 TMZ announced that Ariana and Dalton had tied the knot. Their wedding took place at Ariana's home in Montecito, Calif. and had fewer than 20 guests in attendance. Apparently, the ceremony was very informal and casual, but filled with a lot of love.

As of September 2023, Ariana and Dalton have filed for divorce.

According to TMZ, Ariana and her husband are no more. Things started getting a little rocky back before January, around when she took off to London to film Wicked. TMZ's source said that they split not too long after, but tried to figure out their relationship. Unfortunately, while they still remain friends, they just couldn't see eye-to-eye.

Fans noticed when Ariana wasn't wearing her ring while at the Wimbledon match, so now that cat's out of the bag.

Shortly after their split was announced, sources revealed to TMZ in September 2023 that Ariana and Dalton had filed for divorce. The "Break Free" singer was the first to file, citing "irreconcilable differences" as her reasoning. Dalton filed directly after. Sources also told TMZ that "everything was worked out before going to the courthouse" and that "there are no hard feelings."

Per TMZ's source, the couple's official separation date is Feb. 20, 2023.

"By no means was what we had perfect," she clarified, "but, like, f--k. He was the best person ever, and he didn't deserve the demons he had. I was the glue for such a long time, and I found myself becoming ... less and less sticky. The pieces just started to float away."

Ariana's "Boyfriend" music video isn't based on her personal love life.

Ariana took to Twitter to explain how "Boyfriend" actually speaks to a lot of different people.

"Well, I feel like this song captures a common theme in the lives of so many people I know," she tweeted to a fan. "People want to feel love but don't want to define their relationship and have trouble fully committing or trusting or allowing themselves to fully love someone. Even though they want to."
