Starburst may be the greatest candy ever created. Except for the yellow ones. If you know someone who actually likes the yellow ones, get rid of them. You don't need them in your life.
But there's good news for those of us who actually have good taste. Starburst said Tuesday that it will be releasing limited-edition packs of "All Pink" chews, aka all strawberry. Which is good news because that's the best flavor.
The all-pink packs will be available as a single stick for $0.99 and a larger bag for $3.19 in April. Luckily, they'll be at pretty much every major retailer.
Michelle Green, a spokesperson for Starburst, said the decision was made after demand on social media:
"While everyone has a favorite flavor or color of Starburst, pink has always risen to the top for our fans."
"From memes about relationships to sharing photos of excitement when getting a pink Starburst, over half of all references to Starburst on social media are about pink Starburst."
"But when we continued to hear requests for the pink chew specifically, we knew there was an even larger opportunity for All Pink."
As expected, Twitter is pretty excited about it...
The all-pink packs aren't the only limited edition product to come out during Starburst's 57-year history. Lime, which was one of the original four flavors back in 1960, made a comeback in 2007 as a retro flavor in the "Baja" packs. Lime was eventually replaced with cherry, but the other three original flavors remained: strawberry, lemon, and orange.
Anyone else craving an "unexplainably juicy" treat after hearing this news?
