There are a lot of ways to deal with a problem neighbor. While passive aggressive trolling might not be the most effective, it does seem like the most fun. Like this  man, who sent a series of hilarious notes and emails to an inconsiderate neighbor who wouldn't take down a very bright floodlight.

Unless you're either very fortunate or decided that hermitage is the best way of life for you, we've all had to deal with annoying or inconsiderate neighbors.

Whether they  play loud music at all hours of the night, call the cops on your house for every little thing, or get a little overzealous about their self-appointed role as the neighborhood watch, dealing with problem neighbors is a pain in the butt and often a very delicate matter.

In the interest of keeping the peace, you might do your best to be civil. That doesn't mean you'll be less annoyed that they don't realize how inconvenient their annoying behavior is for others, but it will keep things pleasant.

When you decide to confront that little bit of awkwardness and speak up about something, many people apologize and rectify their behavior.

But then there are people who don't, which is what happened when this guy decided to send his neighbor a note explaining how much of a bother their overly-bright flood light was at night.

He went so far as to draw a humorous picture for his neighbor, demonstrating the severity of the light and how it fills up his home whenever it's on. I find it easy to sleep in most situations, even when the light is on, but I know I'm an anomaly. Normally, if you're trying to get some shuteye, an overly bright light invading your windows and polluting your home isn't an ideal sleep scenario.

So our troll decided to take down the neighbor's flood light and put it in his mailbox.

This guy's neighbor didn't think the affected homeowner's point was valid, and basically told him to kick rocks and put the flood light back up.

He also sent him this email explaining why going on someone's property and rearranging their illuminating devices was wrong.

He also suggested his neighbor get himself some curtains, assuming he didn't have any. This is where the troll decided to flex his snark muscles to their fullest and offered up this hilarious reply.

It turned out to be the beginning of a wonderfully beautiful email exchange between troller and trollee, David and Justin.

I don't know about you, but if I received that email from someone, I'd find the entire thing hilarious. Justin, however, didn't appreciate David's message in the slightest, and doubled down on his love for shiny lights.

This only prompted David to engage in some additional text tomfoolery, by means of over-sharing and a mention of throwing rocks. Oh, and of course, David took down Justin's lamp and moved it again.

Predictably, this didn't sit well with Justin, who wrote back to David angrily, demanding to know where the light is.

Of course, David was quick to reply.

Though he didn't make any friends, David did finally get his way. Justin ultimately took down the light and expressed his disapproval for David.

David reached peak troll and flipped the script back on Justin by extending him a barbecue invitation like the past neighbor he was so friendly with.

Not to nitpick, Justin, but David said he was from Australia, not Austria. If the man is indeed from Ozzy land, then I'd like to learn the ways of down-under trolling. A visit is definitely in order. And I can rest assured knowing that whoever I'm living next to probably won't beam overly bright lights into my home.
