Travis Henning is so close to his best friend that their families are convinced that the two of them are actually in love. So, to "ease their concern" of their conservative parents when the two decided to go on a vacation to Thailand together, they decided to film this hilarious montage of their travels titled "Just Friends." The caption reads: "Our families say we're too close, but we say otherwise!"
In the video, the duo make fun of the fact that their parents think they're more than just friends. It shows the pair sleeping on each other's shoulders, sipping out of the same drink, holding hands, feeding each other, and creating a heart with their hands. One of them is even seen sitting on the bed while the other showers naked through a see-through door.
Henning clarified on Reddit that the two are "openly straight," but that their families are from "the south" and a little stuck in their ways.
When asked how his family reacted, Henning wrote: "Spoke with my mom last week for her B-day. She asked me to stop making things like this."
While commenters questioned if there isn't really something bubbling under the surface.
"I don't know if you guys are gay or not but you sure are in love," one wrote.Another asked: "Damn, I wish I had best friends like this so I could make sweet montages of our good times. You guys have room for a third?" A third person added, "I think it's a pity that our societies do not support this kind of close friendship for heterosexual men in the same way as they do for heterosexual women. I'm heterosexual and have very close friendships to two heterosexual friends and sometimes I feel like this societal burden/border prevents us from let's say having that bodily contact that is shown in the video."
