There are so many things wrong when it comes to American politics at the moment. And sometimes, all you can do is laugh about it. Entire Jason Saenz.
Stand up comedian Jason C. Saenz has found his gimmick. The signs he posts around Los Angeles are the perfect analogue art pieces. They are generally topical, cutting, and hilarious. Take, for example, this picture. In it, President Donald Trump declares that we're "building a wall" and advises people to "get over." In a perfect blend of snarkiness and word play, Seanz simply responded on behalf of Mexico and wrote, "We will."
A lot of Saenz's work is political, because it's pretty hard to resist being political these days; he hasn't been afraid to take on any of the more ridiculous things that have happened under the Trump administration — including the constant turnover of his cabinet, or the fact that so many Americans (22 million, to be exact) are living without health care because of Trump's policies and decisions. It's punchy, but topical. His Instagram account is a good way to keep up with his posters instantaneously, but for an extra giggle, imagine someone coming across a weather beaten flyer about Sean Spicer's resignation months from now:
Of course, you don't need to be topical to make a good "LOST" poster. Some things should always be a topic of discussion, like The Princess Bride:
The world can be a pretty tough place. There's no ignoring so many of the problematic things that go on every single day, so while we would not recommend being blind to it, it is worth noting that there's plenty of value in laughing at it — as long as you are aware about what's going on and what it means for other people.
