Jordan Bolton's known for creating epic movie posters out of their respective props, which was an already inventive and completely original way to pay homage to the movies that shaped cinema, and probably a lot of our minds.
Similarly, he used floor plans from classic films to craft some cool looking posters, too. I mean just when you thought this guy couldn't get any cooler or specific with his art.
And now, the cinephile and artist has a new film-related art project: He's making movie posters out of the main characters from iconic films and the looks that they rocked in these movies.
By breaking down the clothes and accessories and parceling them out into divided, retail store displays, Bolton's created some really awesome images that immediately resonate with anyone who's seen these popular movies. So much of what they wear in the film defines the character. Who could forget the red jacket from Rebel Without a Cause or Dorothy's Shoes from The Wizard of Oz, or Gary Busey's acapulco shirt from Point Break?
Let us not forget Ryan Gosling's Scorpion jacket and driving gloves from Drive. C'mon, admit it, you were thinking of rocking that look right after you saw the movie, right? I mean it was just so darn cool.
How about the quirky, chic pieces from Amelie that inspired an entire generation of hipsters? She has to be patient zero for the modern hipster movement, I just know it. I should edit the wikipedia page...
They're just so cool.
This one's just too perfect.
And who doesn't know and love the black dress Audrey Hepburn rocked in Breakfast at Tiffany's?
