You know that you're obsessed with Game of Thrones when you find yourself lapping up every single bit of GOT-related information out there. When it extends to photos of the cast and what they're doing off-camera, you've attained a different level of fan-obsessiveness. But this latest piece of GOT data that people are obsessing over came in the form of a cast photo where everyone's staring directly at the camera while in costume.
Now if there's one thing Game of Thrones characters are good at, it's looking badass. You need a steely gaze that looks upon unspeakable horrors in Westeros, after all. In a photo shared by television writer Travon Free, you can see that even behind the scenes, the cast of GoT looks like they're ready to kick butts. No smiling for the camera with this crew.
Free also pointed out the obvious: This is the perfect photo for an album cover.
Free started an epic open thread just by asking what people would call these guys if they were a band, and the replies are incredible:
How do none of these already exist? Except Snow Patrol, which exists, but perhaps doesn't appreciate George R.R. Martin like they should. If you've been struggling to name your Game of Thrones themed cover band, look no more. Pick one of these names and work on learning to play something besides the opening credits jingle.
You could even extend it and start naming some songs for the band, like "Lucy and the Sky with Dragons", or "Charred Fields Forever". Now you could go and take Led Zeppelin songs and they'd just fit perfectly, along with the lyrics, too. I mean, "We come from the land of ice and snow, from the midnight sun where the hot springs flow", so, so awesome.
