Game of Thrones fans know that Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have been dating ever since they met on the show, playing doomed lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte. Though he pleasured her far better than one would think for a virgin living on a bachelor ice-flow, Ygritte eventually sacrificed herself to her cause rather than submit to the will of the Night's Watch. Sad. Luckily, he gets to have her in real life forever, because THEY'RE ENGAGED:
Yes, they published the announcement in The Times, like a normal couple. It sedately reads:
“The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire."
Fans are freaking out for a lot of reasons: that their favorite relationship for the show is getting an IRL reboot, that they have personally missed out on their chance to marry Kit Harington, and because they want to get a pun out there on Twitter as fast as possible:
Everyone loves a happy ending, and it's rare that anyone on Game of Thrones ever gets one.
Kit Harington and Rose Leslie seem like they have the perfect relationship—from the outside. But every happy couple faces some turbulence from time to time, especially when one person pranks the other person. Pranks are the worst!
Harington appeared on a recent episode of The John Ross Show to share his total April Fools' Day scare fail. Ross shows Rose Leslie's reaction before revealing Harington's prank. She basically screams until she cries, and ends up kneeling on the floor (after safely depositing the Brita filter on their counter).
Harington says that he wasn't expecting this kind of reaction.
“My family does April Fools',” he says. “Her family doesn’t do April Fools’.”
