It's come to my attention that there's a significant demographic of individuals out there who (wrongly) accuse Die Hard of not being a Christmas film.
I know, crazy, right? Just look at the mounds of evidence that prove it most certainly is.
Despite the fact that it clearly is, there are tons of people on Twitter who are engaging in a pointless back and forth, arguing whether or not the 1988 classic can be filed under the "Christmas movies" category.
Some think the holiday backdrop is purely a coincidence.

Others (correctly) state the film's true genre.
Die Hard is about Christmas - it’s a family redemption story about about personal suffering in the service of fellow man, in defiance of systemic avarice. It’s pure Dickens. But with machine guns— Greg Jenner (@greg_jenner) November 26, 2017
Die Hard is absolutely a Christmas movie and I will die on this hill— Harrison G. Pink (@GilesPink) November 25, 2017
Anyway, if you're not into christmas for whatever reason...right there with you. Always remember that DIE HARD is a CHRISTMAS MOVIE and, in my world, it's THE ONLY CHRISTMAS MOVIE. ❤️— Sarah Mei (@sarahmei) November 27, 2017

Some out there think it's funny to just roll their eyes at the ones on the right path.

But hey, don't listen to me. Let's put it to a vote.
Oh wow. Would you look at that!
Some people pointed out some worthy mentions of other amazing Christmas films that aren't sappy snooze-fests.
Die Hard > A Christmas Story. There, I said it.
