From neighbors who make noise complaints at 3 PM, to people who are upset kids are running through sprinklers in the backyard, people who try to rain on your parade are the worst.

And it seems like these local police officers feel the same way. Because when they were responding to a call that there were a bunch of children playing hockey in the street, they did the most logical thing.

They grabbed a few sticks and hopped right into the game.

In a heartwarming Facebook post, local Loren Phillips wrote, "So you call the cops on some kids playing hockey in the street because your too cool to go around. Instead of listening to your complaint. The cops show up in force and block the street off and start a 3 on 3 game with the boys. Cops are not bad people. They are just people. Also.. let kids be kids."

The post has since been shared over 48,000 times. One commenter wrote, "Thumbs up for the boys in blue." Another added, "This is exactly what I would have done, I would have been on that radio making a team asap."

The Janesville, Wisconsin officers ensured that they would be safe while playing.

They blocked the street off for a half hour - enough time for a proper game between badges and boys.

After the game was over, the cops talked to the kids and let them know some other areas in the neighborhood that would be better suited for hockey games.

So it's not like they have to close down traffic every time they've got the urge to get a game or two in. I'm sure these kids appreciate having a few officers on their side.
