By now, you've probably heard that Aziz Ansari's latest Netflix special, "Right Now" became available for streaming on Tuesday, July 9.
And although many weren't — well — necessarily quite ready to watch the comedian's latest creation (i.e. his 2018 sexual misconduct accusations) the former Parks and Rec star had one fan cheering him on from the start: his girlfriend, Serena Campbell.
So, who is Aziz Ansari's girlfriend Serena Campbell?
She doesn't necessarily look familiar (although she's quite gorgeous), and the reason you might not recognize her is because she isn't a member of Hollywood's elite. She is — however — quite a catch.
Serena hails all the way from Denmark.
Serena (full name: Serena Skov Campbell), was born in Denmark in 1988, according to Earth Necklace. She was born to Kirsten Skov Campbell, a business intelligence consultant in Denmark.
She speaks a total of four languages: Danish, German, French, and English, so that's impressive.
Serena Skov Campbell isn't a Hollywood name.
Like I said, Serena isn't an actress, singer, or artist of any kind. In fact, she's a scientist.
She graduated from Esbjerg Statsskole back in 2008, where she studied chemistry, math, and physics, according to her LinkedIn profile. She then took her studies to the U.K. where she graduated from the University of Manchester with a masters in physics in 2014, before receiving her PhD in plasmonics, the study of metals, from King's College London in 2017.
Serena is now currently working as a mentor at Twinkle ORBYT Mission. There, she helps students study astronomy, and make new discoveries about the universe. It honestly sounds fascinating and incredibly difficult.
Despite her impressive resume, Serena isn't all work and no play.
According to Earth Necklace, she loves to travel, and has visited Phuket, Paris, Tokyo, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, and Cannes.
She's also interested in computer programming, yoga, reading, and swimming. Plus, she's dating Aziz, so she must have a pretty solid sense of humor.
Serena was first spotted with Aziz in 2018.
After breaking things off with Courtney McBroom in 2016, rumors were flying that they had gotten back together. But in 2018, the comedian was seen at the U.S. Open with an alleged new gal pal: Serena.
They started appearing in public together frequently, and Aziz made it Instagram official by posting photos of the two of them. From there, the rest is history.
She seems to be supportive of his work.
On Monday, July 8, Serena posted a photo to Instagram, cheering on her boy of almost two years.
The post has since been deleted, but according to Heavy.com, she posted the caption, “Aziz's special “Right now” is out on @netflix tomorrow (9th) ❤️🎬👏 So incredibly proud of him and all the work and dedication he has put into making this hour. I hope you all enjoy watching it as much as I have. ❤️ @netflixisajoke @azizansari.”
Regardless if you love Aziz or if you hopped off that band wagon after his alleged misconduct, his girlfriend seems like a total catch. Serena, keep doing you.
