What is Kevin Costner’s net worth?

According to court documents from his divorce proceedings, Kevin Costner’s net worth is estimated to be $400 million. Wowza. Most of his money has been earned from his acting career, which he began after developing a passion for it in university.

He had his big break in 1985 with the film, Silverado. He's since become a household name. The Bodyguard, Dances With Wolves, and Yellowstone are just a few of his most profitable roles.

What did Kevin Cosner make on ‘Yellowstone’?

It was reported in 2022 by Variety that Kevin earns $1.3 million per episode for Yellowstone. The actor left the show after the first part of Season Five. The actor told GQ he left because the show split the season into two parts. This interfered with the filming of his upcoming film and passion project, Horizon.

“Their big plan was to suddenly do eight now and then in the fall do eight more,” Costner said.

He continued: “I said, ‘I have a contract to do “Horizon,” and I have people and money.’ I think there was a belief that I couldn’t get it mounted, but I didn’t really care what anybody believed.”

Another point of contention between Kevin and the show stemmed from him threatening to sue producers over money he believed he was owed from being unable to continue with the series.

“I couldn’t help them any more. We tried to negotiate, they offered me less money than previous seasons, there were issues with the creative.”

He has an impressive real estate portfolio.

Kevin has helped his dollars churn out more cash by investing his hard-earned money into real estate. One Aspen property he owns rents for $36,000 — yes, $36,000 — a night. Another property he owns is a California beachfront property that’s worth a whopping $145 million (with that number, the baseball field on the property now makes sense). He also has properties in Ventura and Los Angeles.

Kevin Costner reached a divorce settlement with his ex-wife.

Kevin’s finances were brought to light during his divorce from his wife of almost 19 years, Christine Baumgartner. Their divorce settlement was finalized in September 2023.

Child support was among the many expenses that Kevin was ordered to pay. The couple share three children under 18 years old: Cayden, Hayes, and Grace. The actor has seven kids in total.

A judge ordered Kevin to pay Christine $63,000 a month in child support. Christine had sought $175,057.

In the words of the Notorious B.I.G: “Mo money, mo problems.”
