I know this isn't exactly a human trait peculiar to me and me alone, but I have a heck of a time concentrating on things that are difficult to grasp. Put me in front of a Rubik's Cube tutorial and my mind goes blank. Every now and then, we all sit down with a Rubik's Cube and try to solve it again and it's still just as hard. We soon regret it, however, because those things are impossible to solve fully. We usually get like 1/10 of the way through and run out of patience and move on. Makes you wonder who actually tried to complete those things as kids, especially when video games existed. Five steps into some calculus equation and all concept of time goes out the window and not only can I not focus, I probably couldn't even express what focus means at that point in time.
So it's no surprise that solving puzzles isn't my forte.
Puzzle games, solving complex riddles, anything that really requires critical thinking doesn't gel well with my brain. Sure, I could make myself smarter, but let's be honest...I'm not going to. I still need to finish watching The Young Pope.
So when I saw the walkthrough of this Impossible Dove Tail Box, you best believe I was rewinding through it a bunch of times.
Even though it's taken apart on camera. Even though they talk about the box at length, I'm still at a loss for words.
It looks so simple compared to a puzzle box like this.
But I'm still left just scratching my head. It's crazy.
Does it make sense to you? How long did it actually take you to figure out? We're still trying to come to terms with it, try sharing it with a friend and see how long they go before they finally cave to the temptation to look at the hint. We're guessing it won't take long.
