If you're a woman, it seems like every single costume out there is a "sexy" version of something, no matter how dumb and inappropriate. Hell, there's even a sexy Freddy Krueger, and no, I'm not kidding.
This one time, a friend of mine made a joke about dressing up as a "sexy parking meter" for Halloween. She said she'd have "like... a knob you can twist, and then you can put quarters in my slot" in this hilarious baby stripper voice. But then we saw a sexy parking meter costume being marketed unironically (we think) and I'm pretty sure we both died and came back to life.
What I'm trying to say is that "sexy" Halloween costumes have gotten so ridiculous these days, even parodies of this trope are being done without a touch of self-awareness.
Fed up with all the ridiculousness that are women's sexy costumes, Twitter user @SummerRay decided to create some on-purpose silly outfits of her own for the haunted holiday to highlight our culture's obsession with making slutty versions of just about everything. While these are just Photoshops, we're kind of hoping some crafty women take up their glue guns and sewing machines and make some of these visions a reality this Halloween.
The results are pretty amazing, with a lot playing tribute to memes, political hullabaloo, and pop culture happenings of the past year. Remember the limited edition McDonald's szechuan sauce craze? I know, this year felt like five years long so it's OK if you forgot.
People loved the costumes.
And started chiming in with their own ridiculous Halloween sexiness of their own.
And of course, the punsters had to come and ruin all the fun.
Who am I kidding? I love puns.
