The whole gang is assembled and the incredible special effects are in full force. But is that what people noticed? Apparently not. According to The Hollywood Reporter, social media research firm Fizziology released the numbers on what aspect of the trailer got the most mentions on Twitter. And the winner is... Captain America's beard. It was sCiEnTiFiCaLlY pRoVeN to be the most talked-about aspect of the entire trailer.

Here are the numbers:

Captain America's Beard (20,474 mentions)
Spidey sense (6,100 mentions)
Guardians at the end of the trailer (5,497 mentions)
Get this man a shield (2,180 mentions)
Group together running at end (2,108 mentions)

Wow, people are more interested in Cap's face being protected by a beard than his body being protected by a shield. Could this be true?

The receipts prove one thing to be true: We are all here for Captain America's beard (and if you watched the trailer, we are going to safely assume that you are too...).

It's amazing when you think about it: a cool 20,000 mentions and most of them seem to be overwhelming positive. Nearly every tweet is lusting over the facial hair, rather than harshly criticizing it. Which just proves that America is super thirsty for real heroes right now, especially if they vaguely resemble lumberjacks (of course, it also helps if you look like Chris Pine). Captain America, your facial hair will save the world... Or at least the film.
