In the world of the World Boxing Council (WBC), the name Deontay Wilder is a big deal. Known as the “Bronze Bomber,” the 40-year-old is a 2008 Olympic bronze medalist. In addition, he won the WBC heavyweight title in 2015. Since then, Deontay has defended his title for 10 years, making him the second boxer in WBC history to do so. While he has made major moves in his career, fans have become equally intrigued by his personal life.
Deontay has always been passionate about fatherhood. Over the years, he has used his platform to talk about being a father, and he has also spoken about his most coveted title on multiple podcasts. While fans know that Deontay is a bit of a rolling stone, many are wondering about his family life. So, how many children does Deontay Wilder have? Here’s what we know.
How many children does Deontay Wilder have?
The boxer is both a boy and a girl dad, with seven children to his name, per The Times of India. Most fans are familiar with his eldest daughter, Naieya Wilder, whom he shares with Helen Duncan. Naieya was born with spina bifida, a rare medical condition.
The site reports that after learning about her condition, Deontay decided to forge a career path in the world of boxing to ensure she can be taken care of. Per Telegrafi, Deontay and Jessica share three children: Ava, Deontay Jr., and Dereon.
Deontay also shares an 8-year-old child, Kaorii Lee Wilder, with his now-ex-fiancée, model Telli Swift.
Unfortunately, the names of his other children and baby mothers are currently unknown. However, Deontay makes a point of posting his children on social media from time to time.
In an interview on ‘Piers Morgan Unscensored,’ Deontay Wilder shared that one of his baby mother’s "trapped" him.
During his chat with Piers Morgan on the Piers Morgan Uncensored talk show on April 1, 2026, Deontay made a shocking revelation about his baby mother. While he shared that his daughter Naieya is the reason for how his life has been shaped, he has a lot of disdain for her mother, Helen.
"Her mother tried to set me up to have the baby," Wilder said. "She injected my sperm in her, ran in the bathroom, locked the door, and that's how we had her."
Wow. Not only did he basically say that Helen trapped him, but he also shared that she doesn't know that he’s privy to the information.

"We had the opportunity to terminate the pregnancy, but it's just something in my heart ... I just felt like she deserved to live," Wilder said. "I wanted to take this opportunity to taking care of a girl born with spina bifida. A child that's in need. She needed me as I needed her."
Not to mention, he had no qualms with calling his baby mamas “deadbeats,” even though he would never criticize and name them publicly. That said, he does believe that all men should step up to the plate and handle their business.
"I always promote fathers take care of your children," Wilder said, "No matter what!"
Given that none of Deontay’s baby mamas have come forward about him being a neglectful parent, it’s safe to say that he apparently puts his parenting where his mouth is.
