By now, everyone has heard the conspiracy theory that Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself. Now, there's another layer to the Epstein mystery, as many people believe he's been spotted in Florida.
Last month, someone filmed an individual driving a car, noting the person's striking resemblance to the felon. Admittedly, he does look like Epstein. The clip went so viral that the driver posted a response on Instagram, clarifying that he's not Epstein — he's "Palm Beach Pete." The internet was unconvinced and is vigilantly keeping an eye on Pete's social media. With each Palm Beach Pete video adding to the theory, some internet users are now certain the Floridian lives in Epstein's mansion.

Does Palm Beach Pete live in Epstein's mansion?
Now that Pete's social media is under scrutiny, people are starting to note similarities he shares with Epstein, other than just his facial structure. Namely, both men have a slight stutter and eerily similar teeth. Also, as his moniker suggests, Pete lives in Palm Beach, Fla., and Epstein had a property there.
In fact, there's now a theory that Pete lives in Epstein's Florida mansion, further adding to the suspicion that he is Epstein himself. Pete posted a video on Instagram, thanking those who have supported him in his endeavor to convince the world he isn't Epstein. However, rather than swaying opinions in his favor, Pete's video came off as Epstein mocking the world by hiding in plain sight.
Upon seeing the clip, people quickly noted that the background of Pete's video resembles the background view from one of Epstein's video clips. Furthermore, according to various internet sleuths, Pete's video was filmed at a property right next to an address mentioned in the Epstein files.
While Pete's choice of video location certainly added fuel to the fire, even the most enthusiastic conspiracy theorist has to admit that Pete is not living in the late financier's notorious mansion. We can say that with absolute certainty, as Epstein's mansion was demolished in 2021. According to Wikipedia, the decision was made due to "The mansion's infamy and irrevocable affiliation with Epstein and his crimes."
Palm Beach Pete continues to spark theories.
As with most things on the internet, it seems the belief that Pete lives in Epstein's mansion stemmed from something that sparked reasonable questions but bloomed into something completely untrue. While we can safely put that theory to bed, Pete continues to ignite other claims with his content. For example, Pete has publicly confessed to having met Epstein at various parties, back in the day! Um, Pete, that's not how you get people to be less suspicious of you!
While we kind of feel bad for Pete, as his life has been turned upside down due to something outside of his control, the social media sensation has used the situation to his advantage. He started an Instagram page and enjoys taking photos with passersby on the street at their request. Either Pete's a great dude who knows how to make lemons out of lemonade. Or, he really is Epstein, and he's figured out how to regain fame and fortune while free from prison. We may never know...
