Guy Tricks Friend Into Thinking Son's Christening Party Is Costume Party

Having children is just another opportunity to prank your friends. It's just too good of an opportunity, right? It's the perfect moment to get them unexpectedly, right when they think you're too old and mature to do it, boom, epic prank. So when Imgur user Surgas was planning his son's christening party, he decided to use it as an opportunity to embarrass his best friend. Three weeks before the event, he casually dropped into conversation that the party was going to be a little different.

"Out of the blue I said: 'by the way the christening party is gonna be different... It will be a costume party!" Surgas wrote. "He just looked at me a bit suspicious... I had an Ipad [sic] in my lap and I started to search for cool costumes. We had some great laughs and talked about going as Rocksteady and Bebop. At this point I was actually sure he had figured out the scam but hey, we had fun... He went home and I did not think more of it."

But long story short... it worked. And it worked flawlessly.

Yes, he showed up in full crusader gear, while everyone else showed up in smart casual. Talk about dressing for the job you want.

"I was literally rolling around the floor laughing when he entered the church," Surgas wrote. The friend clearly was really excited with the payoff of his clever prank.

The outfit is rather appropriate for the setting. 

And yes, he was embarrassed. Wouldn't you be? Sadly the pictures will keep the memories alive for him!

This is hilarious. Honestly, this is a pretty amazing prank. His friend will definitely be getting revenge on him someday but at least for this moment they have an awesome funny story to tell.
