New App Tells You If The Ice Cream Machine At McDonald's Is Working And People Are Pumped

We all get fast food cravings now and then, but there is no craving as difficult to satisfy as the one you feel for McDonald's ice cream. Why? Because these dang ice cream machines are breaking like they're held together with blown glass and toothpaste. We know the truth. Employees just get lazy when they clean them and they don't want to set them back up. Or if you're showing up after 9 pm, chances are they've already started cleaning it and will just make up the broken excuse to make us sad.
What is wrong with these things:
Damn you mcdonalds and your never working ice cream machine

McDonalds: sorry our ice cream machine is broken.

First of all, ur machine has been "broken" for like 2 years now....
And then there are the broken promises:
Hi Braden, we’re sorry about that. We’re working on a fix!

It may seem like a very specific complaint, but it's a complaint that so many people had that someone actually decided to do something about it. BuzzFeed News reports that app developer Raina McLeod recognized the problem and decided to innovate a solution.
Introducing Ice Check, the app that simply tells you if the ice cream machine is working at a McDonald's franchise or not. That's all it does and that's all it needs to do.
Basically, you can check your location on a map, see nearby McDonald's, and note whether or not their ice cream machine is working.
And if you arrived and you've been fooled, you have the power as a user to note that its is not working.
"I came up with the idea for the app around a year ago, after a late night Oreo McFlurry craving went unfulfilled due to the ice cream machine being down," McLeod told BuzzFeed.
Hard to say this early if Ice Check will disrupt the broken ice cream machine complex, but maybe it will draw some attention at McDonald's headquarters. Give us our tasty cold treats!
