Meet the 21-Year-Old College Student Engaged to Christie Brinkley's Ex-Husband Peter Cook

Christie Brinkley’s ex-husband Peter Cook is engaged to 21-year-old girlfriend Alba Jancou. According to Page Six, the 60-year-old popped the question to the college student on Sept. 15 with a six-carat diamond ring while the two were vacationing in Santorini, Greece.
“We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found, in each other, our soulmate. We are looking forward to many years of wedded bliss!” the architect told the outlet. Peter was previously married to Christie from 1996 to 2008, and have two kids together, son Jack, 24, and daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook, who is the same age as her dad’s new fiancée.
This will be Peter’s third marriage. After divorcing the supermodel in 2008 following his affair with then-assistant Diana Bianchi, 19, he married Suzanne Shaw. However, the (now) ex-couple split in 2014. So, who is the woman who has stolen Peter's heart? Here's what to know about the young woman.
They're engaged now — but when did Alba Jancou and Peter Cook start dating?
According to Fox News, Peter and Alba allegedly met two years ago at Le Bilboquet; however, they did not start dating until last year. The newly engaged couple are reportedly planning a destination wedding in Europe.
“We are very happy,” Peter told People. In the past few months, Alba and her fiance have been spotted attending events together in the Hamptons, including the Hampton Classic Horse Show Grand Prix last month, and Bobby Flay’s Hamptons Magazine cover event in July.
Alba Jancou is keeping her personal life private.
After news broke of her engagement, Alba deleted her Linkedin profile, which revealed (via Page Six) that she is a student at Tulane University in New Orleans and is expected to graduate in 2021.
Prior to enrolling at the university down south, she "attended a prestigious English private boarding school” in southern England called Millfield. The soon-to-be Mrs. Cook is seemingly trying to keep her personal life out of the spotlight. Currently, Alba’s Instagram page is set to private. Though, her profile bio currently states: "Too busy working on my own grass to notice if yours is greener.” Basically, she's focused on her own life ... which seems to be a pretty good one!
Both of Alba Jancou's parents are New York City art dealers.
Public records state (via Page Six) that Alba is the daughter of New York art gallery owners. Alba’s father Marc owns Marc Jancou Contemporary, which has galleries all over the world, including London, New York, and Switzerland.
According to his website: “Since opening his first gallery in 1991, Marc Jancou has supported numerous contemporary art projects and artists at various stages in their careers. Through residency programs, solo exhibitions, gallery publications, and collaborations with creative organizations and institutions, he has been a key proponent in the development of both established and emerging artists alike.”
