Jonathan Cheban Is Among the Few VIPs Who Were Invited to Kim K's 40th Birthday Bash

Leave it to Kim Kardashian to organize a bombastic birthday party. The star, who is turning 40 years old on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, has arranged a fabulous gathering on a private island with a carefully curated guest list that only includes family members and some of her closest friends. So, did Jonathan Cheban (aka Foodgod) make the cut? And, is he still friends with Kim, for that matter?
Jonathan Cheban hasn't appeared on 'KUWTK' for years, but he is still friends with Kim Kardashian.
Jonathan hasn't appeared on KUWTK for over two years, which led some to question where things stood between him and Kim. What's more, he has been spending more time with show host Wendy Williams, who made several negative comments about the Kardashian clan over the years. Although he is on good terms with celebs like Wendy and Gemma Collins, for that matter, it's understood that this has had no impact on his relationship with Kim so far.
According to Vanity Fair, the food influencer was one of the few who made it to the super-tightly controlled guest list for Kim's 40th birthday bash, which comprises of 30 of her nearest and dearest.
Jonathan hasn't appeared on Kim's Instagram grid for quite some time now, but he is still posting about the superstar. He regularly takes it to social media to share snaps offering a rare glimpse into their latest adventures, such as a trip to Chicago, Ill., or the über-cool party they attended together on the first day of Art Basel Miami in 2019.
Reportedly, Jonathan and Kim had only one fight over the years.
As the food influencer explained in a previous interview with Daily Mail, things got out of hand during a dinner that saw him and his former business partner, Simon Huck, smooth out a few details. Kim was in attendance as well.
In a somewhat typical fashion, the resulting fight between Jonathan and Simon was captured on camera — and it even featured in a previous episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, a KUWTK spinoff that aired between 2009 and 2013.
"That’s the only time I didn't answer her calls, I was furious about it because I thought she was on his side. That's the only time in 10 years, we literally don’t fight," he told Daily Mail in August 2019.
Unfortunately, it's not entirely certain if Jonathan and Kim would still be able to claim that they had only one fight. However, they are still super-close to each other.
"If Kim calls me, I pick up the phone, whenever it is. If I email her, she'll respond a minute later, even with four kids, same with Kris [Jenner]. It's very normal. Everyone is still there for each other," Jonathan described what the secret behind their harmonious friendship was in the interview with Daily Mail.
