Chiranjeevi Sarja and His Wife, Meghana Raj, Had a Truly Incredible Love Story

On Sunday, June 8, Bollywood lost a truly incredible actor — 39-year-old Chiranjeevi Sarja — who reportedly suffered from a fatal heart attack at a hospital in Bengaluru, according to People, after complaining of intense chest pains. The actor had been known for a wide variety of feature films, such as 2013's Whistle, as well as 2018's Amma I Love You. Chiranjeevi is survived by his loving wife and their reported unborn child.
Chiranjeevi Sarja's wife, fellow actress Meghana Raj, is now deeply mourning the loss of her beloved husband while looking back on their beautiful love story.
Who is Chiranjeevi Sarja's wife Meghana Raj?
Like her late husband, Meghana is also a well-known Bollywood actress. She made her first film appearance back in 2009 in a romantic comedy called Bendu Apparao R.M.P, and has since worked on a variety of feature films throughout Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil, according to LeoranNews. Meghana parents, Sundar Raj and Pramila Joshai, were also esteemed movie actors.
Meghana's father, Sundar, has worked on almost 200 films, predominantly in the Kannada language, while Pramila has acted and produced several Kannada films. Meghana was essentially destined to enter the Bollywood scene from a young age, and after pursuing a Bachelor's degree in psychology at Bangalore's Christ University, she dove head-first into the world of acting.
Meghana and Chiranjeevi were married for only two years before he passed away.
Meghana and Chiranjeevi apparently hit it off immediately after meeting on the set of a thriller/mystery film called Attagara, which premiered in 2015. They quickly dove into a relationship, and dated for several years, while continuing to pursue their prestigious Bollywood careers. After three years, they decided to tie the knot in 2018, according to Times of India, and close sources say they were crazy about each other.
At Chiranjeevi's funeral on Monday, June 8, which was apparently held at his family’s nearby farmhouse Meghana was understandably "inconsolable," according to HindustanTimes. Since her husband's death, Meghana has been laying low, and has not posted any statements regarding her husband's death to social media.
At the time of Chiranjeevi's death, Meghana was reportedly three months pregnant.
Meghana and Chiranjeevi had apparently been expecting their first child prior to his passing, according to News 18, but had been reportedly waiting to reveal the big news to fans and media. A close family friend has revealed that Meghana is currently in her second trimester, and had wanted to wait a few months to make an announcement to ensure the baby was healthy.
Meghana and Chiranjeevi's love story was unfortunately cut short, but between their respective fame, their unmatchable romance, and a reported soon-to-be-born child, it seems as though the two Bollywood stars truly had something truly special together.
Needless to say, Chiranjeevi Sarja will be greatly missed. RIP.
