The next episode of the series gives a clue as to what is in store for the actor’s storyline. NBC reveals that Dr. Rhodes will come to terms with the fact that time he has with his father is “getting short.” Therefore, fans can interpret that his exit story may not end in a tragic death and could lean towards just being written off of the show, which means there is a possibility for a return to the medical drama.
