With a new season comes a plethora of new and exciting TV shows to our small screens. However, fans can't seem to take their eyes off one in particular, and that's CBS's All Rise. One of the main attractions? The cast! Specifically, former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Marg Helgenberger, who appears to have a big role in the show. Scroll down for everything we know about her role on the new show and life since CSI!
Who will Marg Helgenberger play on CBS's All Rise?
Marg will portray Judge Lisa Brenner on All Rise. And by the looks of her character in the show's trailer, it seems she's very stern, professional, strong, and pretty important. One clip even labels her as "The Boss." We will learn more about her character when the show comes out, but we imagine she will play a big part in the series.
What has Marg Helgenberger been up to since CSI?
Since Marg's days as Catherine Willows on CSI have come to an end (she was on the hit show for 12 seasons and received two Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations for the role), the 60-year-old has continued her successful acting career.
Since 2013, she's appeared in shows Intelligence and Under The Dome, as well as movies CSI: Immortality, Almost Friends, Behind Enemy Lines, and A Dog's Journey.
In 2017, the Nebraska-native also starred in the off-Broadway premiere of Theresa Rebeck's play What We're Up Against.
Who else is in the cast of All Rise?
Joining Marg on the star-studded cast of All Rise will be Simone Missick as Judge Lola Carmichael (the main character), Wilson Bethel as Mark Callan, Jessica Camacho as Emily Lopez, J. Alex Brinson as Luke Watkins, Lindsay Mendez as Sara Castillo, and Ruthie Ann Miles as Sherry Kansky. What a group!
What is the plot of All Rise?
According to the CBS website, "All Rise is a courthouse drama that follows the chaotic, hopeful, and sometimes absurd lives of its judges, prosecutors, and public defenders, as they work with bailiffs, clerks, and cops to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal process. Among them is newly appointed Judge Lola Carmichael (Simone Missick), a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney who doesn't intend to sit back on the bench in her new role, but instead leans in, immediately pushing the boundaries and challenging the expectations of what a judge can be."
This sounds like the exact type of show fall television needed.
When does All Rise premiere?
All Rise premieres on Monday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS. We will have our popcorn ready to watch, that's for sure!
How can I watch All Rise?
