Marjorie Taylor Greene slams Donald Trump's Iran speech
Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has ripped into President Donald Trump following his Iran address on Wednesday, April 1. The former Congresswoman, who was once one of the president’s most vocal supporters, has often criticized President Trump and his policies since resigning from Congress in November 2025.
This time, Marjorie did not shy away from lashing out at President Trump as she accused him of prioritizing the Iran conflict over the nation.
Marjorie has repeatedly highlighted that the war is not something that the everyday Americans want. “The Iran war is rapidly spiraling out of control. It should have never happened. It’s time to go back to America first. That’s what we campaigned on, and the American people voted for,” the former representative said.

Additionally, Marjorie shared another rant post on social media following President Trump’s speech, and said that she is disappointed in him for ignoring major issues. In her post, Marjorie expressed her displeasure as she blasted President Trump for overlooking the issues at hand, including the rising cost of living in the U.S. and uncertainty regarding kids’ education.
'All I Heard From His Speech Tonight Was War, War, War'
Marjorie further wrote, “I wanted so much for President Trump to put America First. That’s what I believed he would do. All I heard from his speech tonight was war, war, war.”
She continued, “Nothing to lower the cost of living for Americans. Nothing to reduce our near $40 trillion in debt. Nothing to save Social Security, which goes bankrupt in just a few years. Nothing to lower the cost of insurance. Nothing to address jobs for Americans. Nothing about education for our children. Nothing about our children’s future. Nothing for America’s future.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene criticizes President Donald Trump and his administration for entering into a war with Iran.
During his speech on Wednesday, April 1, President Trump claimed that the U.S. has completely abolished Iran’s military during the course of the war. He stated that Operation Epic Fury is nearing its completion and that the U.S. will hit Iran hard in the coming weeks and send it back to the Stone Age. “We are gonna finish the job. We are getting very close,” he said.
President Trump’s threats may have further complicated the situation, as in response, Iran warned of "broader" and "crushing" attacks, according to the BBC. A spokesperson for Iran's military said that the U.S. and Israel have "incomplete" information about Tehran's military capabilities.
Marjorie Taylor Greene says that the lives of everyday Americans are being affected due to the U.S.' war on Iran.
In her post, Marjorie said that she doesn’t know what to do other than pray for those who are being affected by the war. She wrote, “I’m so beyond done. I pray for our military and their families. I pray for innocent people all over the world. I pray for peace and prosperity for all.”
This is not the first time Marjorie has criticized President Trump’s Iran strategy. Before the war officially began, Marjorie warned that a long-standing conflict is not what the Americans want.
She had said, “Americans do not want to go to war with Iran!!! They want to be able to afford their lives and get ahead. They want to be happy and enjoy life [...] And they voted for no more foreign wars and no more regime change.”
