A New and Very NSFW Filter on TikTok Claims to Show Markiplier's Multiplier

For every beautiful thing you can see on TikTok, there's unfortunately something a little less savory to explore as well.

A new filter that's going viral on TikTok relates closely to the YouTuber Markiplier. The filter has left many shocked and is being censored in most videos. If you want to know more about it, we've got you covered.

The new filter going viral on the platform purports to reveal the YouTuber's genitals. You can't actually see the sensitive bits in any of the videos posted, because they would be pulled down from the platform for containing explicit content if you could. Instead, the filter itself is covered by a GIF, but multiple users have reacted with alarm to seeing the filter and to realizing that it doesn't seem to have been banned yet.

Plenty of people have also suggested that, after looking at the filter for themselves, they have some regrets about their decision.

"WHY DOES IT HAPPEN SO SUDDENLY LIKE THERE WAS NO WARNING," one person wrote after looking at the filter.

"Should’ve stayed curious," another added.

It isn't clear why this filter exists, but many people have taken to Markiplier's Instagram to warn him that lewd pictures of him are circulating on TikTok.

"Uh Mark u prolly wanna look on TikTok um there are some pictures of you on there," one person wrote on Instagram.

"Might wanna take a look at what’s happening on TikTok…" another person added.

If it's some sort of revenge porn, that is obviously not cool. For the time being, though, it's impossible to even be sure whose genitals the filter contains. All we can say for sure is what is being rumored.

Another explicit filter that has been trending on TikTok in recent days is being described as the Sraka filter. Although this filter is also NSFW, it thankfully doesn't include any actual people. Instead, this filter features an explicit image of Sakura from the manga and anime series Naruto.

These are far from the first explicit filters to trend on TikTok, although the filters are almost always controversial.

Oftentimes, it's the controversial nature of the filters that actually contributes to their overall property. Whatever you think about the filters, though, it seems clear that this will be a part of the platform moving forward unless it gets banned forever.

In the case of the Markiplier filter, the main hope should be that everything was done consensually, although that seems unlikely. If you don't want to see the filter, the good news is that the only way to find it is to search for it. You may find yourself curious, but based on those who have actually seen it, the best thing to do may be to forget all about it.
