The Traphamily Proposal Does Not Disappoint — See How Ryan Pulled It Off

The Traphamily YouTube channel combines the worlds of famous figures Haley Pham and Ryan Trahan. Each are successful YouTubers in their own right, with more than 2 million followers per channel.

If that wasn’t enough, Haley and Ryan also joined forces to create a channel dedicated to their life and journey as a couple (along with their pup, Spock, who pretty much has a fanbase of his own). 

With nearly 20 million views to date, it’s safe to say that people are into it. 

“We started a couples channel called The Traphamily to document all the exciting things coming up in our lives,” the duo shared in August 2019 when the channel went live. And exciting things have happened indeed.

From workouts and pranks to unveiling secrets about their personal life and buying their first home together, Haley and Ryan have held little back.

So imagine everyone’s surprise and delight when Ryan dropped to one knee and gave Haley the proposal of her dreams — and, of course, captured and posted it to the channel. It received more than 2.2 million views in the first four days with people wondering how he popped the question and what his future bride’s reaction was like.

The 10-minute video shows an anxious Ryan setting up just outside of Big Bend National Park in Texas, under the guise of being there to shoot a video for his own channel.

He tells viewers it’s close to being the darkest place on Earth, and the best vantage point for the star he got in Haley’s honor, calling it “probably the most romantic thing I’ve ever done.”

He explains that Big Bend is where the couple first said “I love you” to one another, and one of the first trips they ever went on together. On a hike to take sunset photos, Ryan arranged for his crew to be there so the moment would be captured. 

In more aww-worthy news, Ryan had given Haley small bottles with messages inside them when they had been dating for three months. He secretly snuck one of the bottles back from her collection and wrote a new message inside of it: “Will you marry me?”

With a house and a dog (and a YouTube channel) together, the Traphamily’s life together has all but started already.

“We know we’re going to get married to each other. We’re literally planning our wedding at this point,” Ryan shares.

And Haley dropped to her knee in a joke proposal to Ryan the day before he actually popped the question. She also posted in early 2020 saying, “I love you so bad future hubby,” although they weren’t engaged yet.

Regardless, the couple is on cloud nine and couldn’t wait to share their big news with the world. Fans have shown an outpouring of love and excitement for the future bride and groom and their announcement. Haley and Ryan are encouraging fans to follow them on social as their wedding planning journey begins.
