During election years, there's always this intense feeling in the air. As it nears closer to the election day, more advertisements pop up to help inform the voters on the important topics. Sometimes these ads go viral for the topics they cover, but Joe Biden's latest has because it seems to point to Sam Elliott's political party.

Sam Elliott's political party points to a Democratic affiliation.

In October 2020, a new political advertisement aired during the MLB World Series. Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden, featured an ad titled "Go From There," and it didn't take long for it to go viral on Twitter.

Getting views on these ads is generally the purpose of them. The political candidates want their message to be shared far and wide. But for this ad, it was the fact that actor Sam Elliott did the voice over work that had everyone talking.

The actor, who most recently starred in the 2018 movie A Star Is Born, had his signature weathered voice in the one-minute spot that talked about the climate of the U.S. lately. The ad begins with Sam saying, "There is only one America, no Democratic rivers, no Republican mountains."

The ad is full of beautiful imagery. However, the reactions on social all focused on Sam Elliott speaking on politics. People were really surprised to see the actor be so outwardly political, lending his voice to the Biden campaign.

"Holy lord," one person tweeted. "I just saw a @JoeBiden ad narrated by Sam Elliott. Ballgame. I’m calling it." Another wrote, "That Sam Elliott Biden ad might be the best piece of political advertising I’ve ever seen." Someone else tweeted, "When Sam Elliott narrates your campaign ad, that means you are going to win."

This isn't the first time Sam Elliott has spoken about politics.

For some reason, people seemed to assume what Sam's political affiliation would be, with many surprised to see that he's not supporting the Republican party. That’s one of the larger reasons why the ad has gone viral and everyone is talking about him. However, this isn't the first time he's spoken about politics.

Back in 2017, Sam spoke with Metro and told the publication that he thought the fact that Donald Trump had won the election the year prior was "mind boggling."

"I think Trump won because he didn't have someone running against him that was electable," he said at the time. "But he spoke to that vast whole out there that had been neglected forever."

"You have to make a commitment, you can’t dance down the middle of the road. Well, s--t, if they’re not going to reach across the aisle and at last talk to each other, and work on the art of the compromise, then it’s pretty bleak," he added.

This is the second famous actor who has lent their voice to a recent Biden campaign ad. At the beginning of October, Samuel L. Jackson voiced the ad "Same Old" and encouraged voters to choose Democrat.

“If your vote didn’t matter, they wouldn’t try so hard to take it from you," he said.

Election Day is Nov. 3. Register to vote at vote.gov and head to your state’s board of elections for details on requesting a mail-in or absentee ballot.
