The memorial for Charlie Kirk has been vandalized and suspect Ryder Corral is in police custody.

On Sunday, Sept. 14, Ryder Corral was arrested by Phoenix, Ariz., police due to allegedly vandalizing the memorial for Charlie Kirk, according to The Guardian. He now faces charges of criminal damage and disorderly conduct.

Per the outlet, witnesses told local authorities that they saw a man damaging the memorial located just outside the headquarters of Turning Points USA, where Charlie was a co-founder.

“Officers were in the area to assist with traffic control due to a large community presence in the area following recent events,” Sgt Phil Krynsky, a spokesperson for Phoenix police, said following the arrest. Corral now faces criminal damage and disorderly conduct charges.

Video footage reportedly showed a man, believed to be Ryder, walking through the memorial trampling over flowers and mementoes before he was grabbed, thrown to the ground, and ultimately arrested. It also appears that he was wearing a t-shirt similar to one worn by Charlie’s accused killer, Tyler Robinson.

Charlie’s funeral is set for Sept. 21 at the State Farm Stadium, known as the site for the home games of the Arizona Cardinals.

The preliminary investigation into Charlie’s death reveals that Tyler Robinson had an apparent “obsession” with him.

FBI Co-Deputy Director Dan Bongino said that based on the findings of Tyler’s digital footprint, he was “obsessed” with Charlie, per ABC News, also adding that he exhibited “multiple warning signs.”

"I believe co-workers stated he had detached himself when the topic of politics came up and walked away," he continued, before stating that the FBI is now investigating whether anyone else knew about the shooting and refrained from contacting authorities.

"Did they ... hear it and think it was a joke? That is what we're trying to find out now," he said. "If there is a larger network here, we will get that out to the public as soon as we can."

Robinson is currently being held in the Utah County Jail on felony charges of discharging a firearm, aggravated murder, and obstruction of justice, per the outlet, and could also face additional federal charges. He turned himself in a day after the shooting at the urging of his father.

Authorities told ABC News that local investigators are currently assessing evidence in the case, which includes looking at the electronic devices the suspect may have had access to.

As of now, no motive for Charlie’s murder has been determined, despite JD Vance saying it was due to "left-wing extremism."
