Bravo personality Emily Simpson has kept active during these months of quarantine. In fact, the Real Housewives of Orange County star recently revealed she had lost 16 pounds … on top of her 15-pound weight loss less than a year prior!
Did Emily Simpson lose weight?
In November 2019, Emily revealed on Instagram that she had lost 15 pounds over a 12-week program with Paulina Fitness. “I still have more to go but I’m enjoying the journey!” she wrote. “I was in chronic pain, I was depressed and I weighed more [than] I ever have in my whole life! I reached out to @paulinastein and asked her for her help. I had no idea where to start. I felt lost.”
“She helped me change my lifestyle and has taught me so much about balance. She has also encouraged me to not give up and keep going,” Emily added. “Not only did I want to lose weight to feel and look better, but I wanted to be healthier and set a good example for my kids!”
With the slim down and with her hip replacement surgery the month prior, Emily was feeling good. “I haven’t felt this good in a long time and with a new hip, and 15 pounds off I’m finally able to keep up with my kids and be more active!” she wrote.
And in August 2020, Emily told her Instagram followers she has lost another 16 pounds. “There’s no right way to start. There’s no magic plan or magic pill. You just have to dig deep and make yourself a priority,” she wrote at the time. “My first step was contacting @paulinastein and asking for help.”
She went on: “Sometimes we become too overwhelmed with life, kids, depression, weight gain, hormones, relationships, illness etc … but you have to start somewhere. Make today that day. A year from now will pass by regardless. Might as well make it your healthiest yet.”
Did Emily from ‘RHOC’ get divorced?
By all indications, Emily is still married to Shane Simpson, as she has been since 2009. As E! News reports, divorce rumors have been circling the couple for a while, especially because his exam attempts put a strain on their relationship.
“He’s a jerk. He’s being a d—k. Like, I get it. I’m not trying to make excuses for him, but I see a side of him that other people don’t get to see, so I think that’s what makes up for it,” she shared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in October 2019. “Like, I know it sounds awful but I’m the one who goes home with him at night when we’re alone, and he says nice things, and he gets me cards, and he writes nice things to me.”
And though she rarely posts photos of Shane on her Instagram, Emily did wax poetic in a June 2019 post. “Happy Father’s Day AND Happy Birthday to @shanesimps,” she wrote at the time. “Thank you for the unwavering commitment and loyalty that you demonstrate to our family EVERY DAY. You show your five children unconditional love each and every day and you spend quality time with each one.”
