Who is Wayne Brady dating?

Wayne first came out as pansexual in August 2023 and said at the time that he was single. In the months since that announcement, it doesn't seem like he has found a lasting relationship.

Wayne appeared at the GLAAD Media Awards, and while he was there, he explained what he sees as the most common misconception about people who identify as pansexual.

"I had to do research and find out what it was that I was," Wayne explained. "I think the biggest misconception — and I even make a joke about it onstage tonight — is that people think that you're an indecisive bisexual. It's like, no, no, no, no, no. Let me set you straight."

Wayne went on to define what it means to be pansexual, saying that he knew that he could fall in love with anyone.

"What the definition basically boils down to is, regardless of gender, regardless," Wayne continued. "So that means that I am happily free to fall in love with anybody here. If you're gay, if you're straight, if you're non-binary, trans, I don't care."

When he first came out, Wayne also opened up about his past struggles with love, and said that coming out would help him resolve them.

Wayne has had trouble falling in love before.

Even though he has been married twice, Wayne also admitted that he has had trouble genuinely falling in love and committing to relationships in the past.

"I think it's the trusting piece. The self-trusting piece," he told CBS. "Admitting that I had a mental health journey to go on, to admitting that there is such a thing as clinical depression and anxiety, and then that opened the door to, 'What are you not doing in all of these relationships?' ... Maybe that person is not the problem."

Wayne also said that he had trouble with shame, even though he knew he had support from many in the LGBTQ+ community.

"I've always felt like a sham because I wasn't being forthcoming with myself," he said. "You can play at being an ally, but until the day that you can truly say, 'This is who I am, and I wanna stand next to you,' that's not ... I always wanted that day to come."

Wayne seems to have come a long way in his relationship to love. Hopefully, he can find a lasting partner to share his life with soon if that's what he wants.
