So, which stores are open on New Year's Day?
Granted, many places are closed on New Year's Day, so that their employees can enjoy the first day of the year with their families and friends. If you need to do any banking with tellers, you might have to wait another day for your bank to be open. But many other stores are opening their doors for first-day-of-the-year shoppers.
Walmart stores will be open on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, so you can stock up on groceries, electronics and all-around discounted stuff.
