As Season 4 of Love on the Spectrum came to an end, everyone was wondering if Emma and Eric would become one of the success stories of the show. Fortunately, Emma decided not to keep people guessing. She recently opened up about her relationship status post-filming. Her update, however, isn’t what most people expected.

Netflix’s 'Love on the Spectrum' Season 4 star Emma Miller’s journey included a promising connection with Eric.
Throughout Season 4, Emma made it clear she was looking for a relationship that aligned with her values and her faith.
She went on several dates, but her connection with Eric stood out the most. The two spent time getting to know each other and even shared a kiss during a date that felt like a big step forward.
By the end of the season, it seemed like things were heading in a positive direction. As fans suspected, the romance didn’t stop when the cameras quit rolling.
Speaking to Swooon, Emma shared that she continued to spend time with Eric after filming wrapped. This included going on a date at an aquarium and spending time hanging out at his place.
For fans, the future of this relationship looked bright and promising.
Emma shared that she and Eric are no longer together.
Despite how things appeared on screen, Emma confirmed during the same interview with Swooon that she and Eric didn’t end up staying together.
Instead, she said they’re just friends now.

For fans who were rooting for them, it’s definitely not the update they were hoping for. Still, Emma approached it with a pretty grounded mindset.
She explained that dating is about learning what works and what doesn’t. She is still trying to figure that out for herself. Ultimately, she decided she was better off just being friends with Eric.
She is looking ahead to what’s next for her future.

Outside of romance, she’s also been focusing on her creative side. Viewers saw her perform her original song during Season 4. Turns out, she’s already hard at work on new music that she says was inspired by her family.
During the same interview, Emma shared that she would be open to returning to Love on the Spectrum if Netflix renews the series for Season 5 and would like to have her back.
For now, however, she’s embracing where she is in life. She’s taking things one day at a time as she continues to learn more about who she is and what she wants.
