Here's What's Coming to Netflix in January 2020

2020 is going to bring about a lot of changes. Not only is it a new year, but it's also a new decade. Friends is being taken off of Netflix. That ball drops on January 1, and suddenly, when you type "Friends" into Netflix's search bar, you're going to get a lot of sad titles of things "Related to Friends." That might seem like a tragedy, sure, but not all is lost. There's a ton coming to Netflix in January that will make you feel better.

Netflix's January 2020 releases list is out and it's pretty epic.

Come January 1, you'll never want to get off of your couch again. Too much tempting stuff is headed to Netflix.

According to Variety, January 1 is the biggest day of the month for new releases. Messiah, the show about what seems to be modern-day Jesus, is out that day, as is Ghost Stories, Nisman: Death of a Prosecutor, Spinning Out, The Circle, 21, A Cinderella Story, American Beauty, Catch Me If You Can, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Chasing Amy, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Chloe, City of God, and Dinner for Schmucks.

But we're not done yet. January 1 also sees the release of Dragonheart, Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer, Dragonheart: A New Beginning, Drugs, Inc.: Season 6, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Free Willy, Ghost Rider, Harold & Kumar Go to White castle, Hitch, Inception, Instructions Not Included, Julie & Julia, and my personal favorite time travel romance, Kate and Leopold.

You'll also be able to watch all the Kill Bills, Kingpin, Kiss the Girls, Monster-in-Law, New York Minute, Pan's Labrynth, Patriot Games, Saint Seiya: Seasons 4-5, Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden, Shrek Forever After, Strictly Ballroom, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear, The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, The Original Kings of Comedy, The Ring, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Tremors, True Grit, Up in the Air, What Lies Beneath, Wild Wild West, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Wyatt Earp, andYes Man. Needless to say, you're going to be very busy that day.

On January 2, it's all about Sex, Explained: Limited Series and Thieves of the Wood. January 3 gives us Anne with an E and All the Freckles in the World. The 4th is Go! Go! Cory Carson day, and the 8th is all about Cheer

On the 10th, we get AJ and the Queen, Giri/Haji, Harvey Girls Forever!: Season 4, The Inbestigators: Season 2, Medical Police, Scissor Seven, Until Dawn, Zumbo’s Just Desserts: Season 2, and The Evil Dead, which was spooky and great. 

And then, on January 12, we're all sitting down to watch Betty White: First Lady of Television, a documentary about the life and career of Betty White filmed over the course of 10 years. It originally aired on PBS, so if you missed it then, not to worry. Netflix will house it from the 12th on.

January 13, we have The Healing Powers of Dude, the 14th: Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts and The Master, the 15th: Quien a hierro mata, the new and penultimate season of Grace and Frankie, Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, and Big Fat Liar, the 16th: NiNoKuni and Steve Jobs

January 17 is a big day too, with the releases of Ares, Hip-Hop Evolution: Season 4, Sex Education: Season 2, Tyler Perry's A Fall From Grace, Vivir dos veces, Wer kann, der kann!, and Tiny House Nation: Volume 2. On the 18th, sit down to watch The Bling Ring, Family Reunion: Part 2 on the 20th, and Fortune Feimster: Sweet and Salty and Word Party: Season 4 on the 21st. 

On the 22nd, watch Pandemic: How to Prevent and Outbreak and Playing With Fire, Season 1. January 23: The Ghost Bride, October Faction, Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac: Season 1/Part 2, and The Queen. January 24: A Sun, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 3, The Ranch: Final Season, and Rise of Empires: Ottoman. January 26: Vir Das: For India. January 27: Country Strong and We Are Your Friends.

January 28: Alex Fernández: El mejor comediante del mundo. January 29: Frères Ennemis, Next In Fashion, Night on Earth, and Omniscient. January 30: Ainori Love Wagon: African Journey, The Stranger, Nighthawks, and Raising Cain.

Last but not least, on January 31, you can watch 37 Seconds, BoJack Horseman: Season 6 (Part B), Diablero: Season 2, I Am a Killer: Season 2, Luna Nera, Ragnarok, and American Assassin.
