Pam Bondi Is “Thrilled” About Her New Role — Where Is She Going?
Another one bites the dust.

A few weeks after President Donald Trump removed Kristi Noem from her role as Secretary of Homeland Security over mounting concerns over her handling of immigration reform, he went ahead and fired Pam Bondi. Bondi had been serving as the 87th United States Attorney General, a role she took on in February 2025. She was dismissed from her duties on April 2, 2026, with Trump announcing the move via Truth Social.
Despite firing her, there doesn’t seem to be any ill feelings between the two, as Trump credited Bondi with allegedly getting murder rates to their lowest level since 1900. He also mentioned that she’d be replaced by Todd Blanche and would be taking on a new role in another sector. So, where is Bondi going, you wonder? Here’s what we know and what she’s said about her dismissal.
Where is Pam Bondi going?

In his April 2, 2026, Truth Social announcement, Donald Trump did note that Pam Bondi would be transitioning into a new role in the “private sector.” What exactly that role is, and the sector it’ll be a part of, we don’t know. But the president assured Bondi’s new position was “much needed” and described it as an “important new job.”
He made it sound almost as if the role was created just for her to step into, similar to how Kristi Noem transitioned out of her role and into that of Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas.
What’s also catching people’s attention is that Bondi and Noem are the only two officials to be removed from the cabinet under Trump’s second term, and both are women. They’ve also been replaced by men.
While Trump has kept the details surrounding Bondi’s removal to a minimum, he did say more information would be provided “at a date in the near future.” For context, it appears Bondi was removed from her role as U.S. Attorney General over her performance, particularly her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, per The Guardian.
Now, although Trump basically fired Bondi from a rather high-ranking role, he had nothing but positive things to say in his Truth Social announcement.
As we mentioned, he credited Bondi with lowering murder rates, saying she “did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country.” He also called her “a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend,” adding, “We love Pam.”
Now, Bondi did issue her own statement via Instagram, and here’s what she had to say about her exit.
Pam Bondi said in her statement that she’s “thrilled” about her new role.
In her own statement, issued via X (formerly Twitter), Bondi also highlighted the accomplishments she achieved while serving as U.S. Attorney General. Like Trump, she pointed out that she had “secured the lowest murder rate in 125 years” and even stated that under her guidance, the agency “secured first-ever terrorism convictions against members of Antifa.”
She also credited the agency with “shattering domestic and transnational gangs across the country” and “taking custody of more than 90 key cartel figures.”
Despite all the accomplishments Bondi says she achieved, she’s now moving on from her role as attorney general into a new position. Bondi said she would spend April 2026 transitioning the office over to Blanche “before moving to an important private sector role I am thrilled about,” adding that she will “continue fighting for President Trump and this administration.”
While Bondi appears to be looking to go out on a positive note, many people aren’t buying it. If anything, she’s being dragged for allegedly doing nothing regarding the Epstein files, with some accusing her of hiding information in an effort to protect Trump.
