The newest season of The Masked Singer is about to begin and the all-too-familiar game of trying to guess who the voices are under the mask will kick off too. Season 2 has upped the ante considerably, with a wider variety of inventive costumes and outlandish characters. There's even an egg this time around!

But there's one in particular everyone has gotten pretty excited about: the Black Widow, who certainly sounds like someone we all know and love. What's everyone thinking so far?

Who is the Black Widow on The Masked Singer, anyway?

Who could the Black Widow be? There are a number of clues already that we can pick apart, and as such fans are doing so with gusto.

"If the other singers aren't scared of spiders, just wait until they hear my voice," the Black Widow said in their clue package, alluding to a powerful musical performance heard in another clip.

In the clip, the Black Widow sings Whitney Houston's classic "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." It's a very annotated preview of the song, but fans are already starting to throw out their guesses: It could very well be Raven-Symoné, the child actress we remember fondly from shows like The Cosby Show, That's So Raven, and The Cheetah Girls from the Disney Channel.

During the clue package, the imagery shared alongside views of the Black Widow's costume features tarot cards. That's So Raven revolved around Raven's ability to predict the future, so this could be a huge clue. Further, the comment about leaving audiences hanging "by a thread" could be an overt reference to Raven's career as a fashion designer in the same show.

"America, you can guess my identity all you want, but I'm going to leave you hanging by a thread until the very end."

Fans are also looking further than the clues given by the Black Widow herself and considering the character's body type. They believe the Widow has a figure similar to that of Raven, which may not be too far off, but you've also got to consider the fact that characters can add padding to individuals' identities, too. It could be a way to offer audiences a red herring.

Interestingly enough, some fans are positing that the Flamingo this season could be none other than The Cheetah Girls' Adrienne Bailon. It's possible that there could be two former groupmates on the show, and that would be an exciting twist for fans of their slick pop songs from Disney's popular original movie (and best-selling book series).
