'7 Little Johnstons Star' Jonah Johnston Finds New Hobby Post Delta 8 Scare (EXCLUSIVE CLIP)
Jonah Johnston has a new passion following his Delta 8 scare — and it sure is a delicious one!

TLC's hit reality series 7 Little Johnstons, now in Season 14, follows the Johnston family based in Georgia, who all live with dwarfism. Trent and Amber Johnston's eldest child — Jonah Johnston, recently got himself in trouble after experimenting with a strain of synthetic marijuana dubbed Delta 8.
But in an exclusive clip shared with Distractify ahead of the March 19 episode, we learn that Jonah has adopted a new hobby that has been helping him recover from the drug-related incident.
Jonah Johnson is a big fan of smoking meats.
While grabbing lunch with his sisters, Anna and Elizabeth Johnson, they talk about Jonah's newfound love for BBQing meats. In fact, he has been enthusiastically practicing his BBQ skills since impressing everyone at Elizabeth's birthday.
He tells his sisters that he and his friend Brian have been practicing their meat-smoking chops for some time now.
"I find great joy in smoking meat and I think that when I'm doing it I don't realize how much of a help it is until after I get done with it," he says in a confessional.
Elizabeth was particularly excited to see her brother "fixing his health" — both physical and mental — through his new passion. She explains how rewarding it is for him as well as the rest of the family who get to indulge in his cooking.
Back in Season 11, fans learned that Jonah experimented with a drug called Delta 8. As a result, he suffered some pretty scary side effects.
After the incident, Jonah's parents temporarily moved him back home. But he has since moved back out, where he appears to be staying clean and experimenting with new positive things. He also started a job as a car sales representative.
Jonah Johnston previously entered a BBQ competition.
In June 2023, Amber Johnston shared a new post on the family's Instagram about Jonah. In the photo, Jonah was preparing food at a table outdoors. The caption read: "1st BBQ competition."
Unfortunately, we never got an update on how Jonah did in the competition, but there's a chance we may see how the competition went on this season of 7 Little Johnstons. A press release from Warner Bros Discovery announcing Season 14 of the series claimed that during this installment, "Jonah leans into his new hobby of BBQing and considers the possibility of making a career out of it."
