In 2020, Simon Guobadia’s life became public fodder due to his time on a little show called The Real Housewives of Atlanta. While the footage of him on the Bravo reality series wasn’t too damaging, what happened after the season aired brought extra attention to his love life.

On Jan. 15, 2021, Simon filed for divorce from his then-wife and former RHOA star Falynn Pina. Several months later, he was engaged to Porsha Williams, a pairing none of Porsha’s fans saw coming.

Porsha and Simon later married in 2022. Two years later, they shocked spectators again when Porsha filed for divorce.

Since their divorce became public, Simon and Porsha have made their relationship issues for everyone’s business. When the soon-to-be exes aren’t proverbially duking it out in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia, they’re throwing subliminal shots on their respective Instagram posts.

In April 2024, Simon addressed ongoing rumors that infidelity possibly led to his and Porsha’s separation. In a court filing shared with Distractify, he’s also demanding more from his Bravolebrity ex.

Simon Guobadia is asking for a divorce trial as Porsha Williams defended her ‘RHOA’ status in court.

Simon didn’t stop trying to convince his over 800,000 Instagram followers that he didn’t step out on his and Porsha’s marriage. The Nigerian-born philanthropist also wants a Fulton County jury in a divorce trial.

In an April 25, 2024 court filing, his attorney, Onyema Farrey, requested a “trial by jury” on “all issues triable by jury” in his and Porsha’s proceedings. The court document doesn’t share why he’s demanding a jury.

The filing came after Porsha filed a response to Simon’s subpoena on April 23. The subpoena demanded access to information regarding Porsha’s RHOA salary amid her Season 16 return to the Bravo show. Simon also asked for other classified information between Porsha and RHOA’s production team, True Entertainment, including comments on their relationship, divorce, prenuptial agreement, and “filming, recording, taping, and production” at his home.

Porsha demanded Simon’s subpoena be overdrawn by the court, stating her RHOA job has nothing to do with the prenuptial agreement she and Simon signed “on or around Nov. 17, 2022,” per court docs. She also claimed her ex was making his outlandish requests to “threaten her reputation, career, and ability to earn income” and didn’t need to involve Bravo or True Entertainment.
