Journalist and TV host Anderson Cooper is the son of heiress Gloria Vanderbilt and writer Wyatt Cooper. Anderson joined ABC News as a correspondent in 1995 and in 2001 he joined CNN, where he was given his own show, Anderson Cooper 360, in 2013. From 2011 to 2013, Anderson also hosted his own daytime talk show, Anderson Live, and has been a correspondent for 60 Minutes since 2007. In 2012, Anderson made headlines when he came out as gay, and in 2016 in became the first openly LGBT person to moderate a presidential debate. In April 2020, Anderson announced the birth of his son, Wyatt, born via surrogate.
