On May 14, 2023, Bravo announced the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16. The announcement came after the show underwent a cast shakeup that left only a few Season 15 peach holders standing.

Kenya Moore and Drew Sidora were asked to return for another season. The ladies will join familiar faces like Porsha Williams, Shamea Morton, and Ms. Cheekbones herself, Cynthia Bailey. Some newbies, including Angela Oakley, Brittany Eady, and Kelli Ferrell, will also be in the mix.

Is ‘RHOA’ Shereé Whitfield the most fired ‘Real Housewives’ cast member?

It’s fair to note Shereé didn’t explicitly say she was fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Nonetheless, fans made their own assumptions when she didn’t announce her exit ahead of the season like her co-stars Kandi Burruss, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross did.

Shereé may not have confirmed her exit, but the cast announcement sure did. Soon after it was announced she wasn’t returning, fans were reminded that she had been sent a pink slip twice before since she first appeared on RHOA in 2008. The first time occurred in 2012, after she was fired from the show in Season 4. Shereé returned in a “friend of” role in Season 8 before being asked again to leave after Season 10.

"Was not interested in entertaining the lowball offer that was sent," she wrote after being fired from the series, per People. "Know ur worth.”

In Season 13, the entrepreneur signed on for another season, this time sharing her relationship with her “prison bae,” Tyrone Gilliams. Sheree was later promoted to a full-time position in Seasons 14 and 15.

Unfortunately, Shereé ’s final exit makes her the most fired housewife in the franchise’s history. While multiple ‘wives, including Sheree’s former co-stars Porsha and NeNe Leakes — have left RHOA on their own accord and returned, Shereé is the only one who has been repeatedly fired and asked to stay on the show. Some fans grew tired of her being fired every few years and responded to her latest exit online.

‘RHOA’ fans had strong reactions to Sheree being fired.

When the announcement came that Shereé would no longer be a part of RHOA, many rallied around the OG. Several fans, including The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge declared she was #TeamShereé and shared a photo of them strolling down the aisle of a building.

Other fans agreed with Tamra’s sentiment and said she didn’t deserve to be let go for another season.

While many felt Shereé didn’t deserve to have her peach revoked, others felt she’s been on Atlanta long enough. On social media, several fans felt Shereé ’s time on the show ended long ago and that the series was better off without her.

Although Shereé ’s time on RHOA is up, she’s proven that her peach holder status can always change. And we’re never disappointed to see her when she comes back!
