Rapper, businessman, and media mogul Jay-Z is known as one of the most influential artists in hip-hop history. The New York native released his first studio album "Reasonable Doubt" in 1996 and has since released twelve more albums including "The Blueprint" (2001), "Watch the Throne" (2011), and "4:44" (2017). He has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and won 23 Grammys, the most by any rapper.

Along with music, Jay-Z launched his clothing line Rocawear in 1999, and in 2003 opened his luxury sports bar chain 40/40 Club. He is also the founder of Roc Nation and the owner of the music streaming service Tidal. In 2019, Jay-Z became the first hip-hop billionaire, and in 2021, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Jay-Z married Beyoncé in 2008 and the couple welcomed their daughter Blue Ivy in 2012. In 2017, they had twins Rumi and Sir. Jay-Z launched The Shawn Carter Foundation with his mother, Gloria, in 2003.
