These four witches are invoking the spirit...
The Craft: Legacy is a sequel to the iconic '90s film and follows a modern-day coven of teenage witches who, with their newfound powers, start to create chaos. Keep reading to find out more about the upcoming reboot, including the plot, where to watch, and the cast.
'The Craft: Legacy' follows a similar plot to the original 1996 film. Where to watch!
The trailer for the upcoming reboot shows a teen girl named Hannah (Cailee Spaeny) who is forced to start at a new school after her mother remarries. When Hannah gets bullied in school, three of her classmates approach her in the bathroom and befriend Hannah.
The girls invite the teen over after school and reveal that they are witches and would like Hannah to be their "fourth" so they can then "call the four corners..." If you're a fan of the OG movie, you know this stands for calling the four elements: earth, air, fire, water.
But, being a teen and having heightened emotions could make you start losing control of your powers, which is evident in the trailer when Hannah accidentally hurts her mom with her magic.
Will these girls learn that whatever they send out, they get back... times three?
If you're looking to watch The Craft: Legacy, the film will be available on-demand everywhere on Oct. 28
Check out the cast of 'The Craft: Legacy.'
The four women starring as the teen witches in The Craft: Legacy are: Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, and Zoey Luna.
While it has not been confirmed if any of the original cast members from the '90s film will make an appearance in the sequel, the trailer did include a reference to the film.
In the trailer, Hannah sees a polaroid of The Craft villain Nancy Downs (Fairuza Balk). Therefore, it has been established that the sequel does take place in the same universe as the original film. Well, we'd certainly love to see what some of the other characters from The Craft are up to in the present!
The last time fans saw Nancy, she was locked up in a psych ward and her powers were bound by Sarah (Robin Tunney).
Hey, speaking of Sarah, maybe the powerful witch now runs her own magic shop in town, like the one we saw her visit in the movie. We certainly can't wait to find out what other references the sequel will make!
