There are fewer things more satisfying than seeing thieves/criminals/scoundrels get what's coming to them. Take "porch pirates" for example. The low-down, no-good dirty package thieves who scope out people's homes for deliveries to pilfer. Some folks get back at them by "glitter bombing" said package, or filling them up with fecal matter.

So they think they're getting a Nintendo Switch or anything that they could flip for a profit and boom: face full of glitter. Or an unspeakable stench they won't be able to get out of their nostrils for quite some time.

And then there are some folks who go through some super extreme lengths to get back at criminals, like this one YouTuber who made it his life's mission to destroy scam call centers.

He was even able to hack a facility's security camera system and put some boots on the ground in Kolkata with a wonderful payback plan of Ocean's 11-esque proportions. To see scammers run around as massive cockroaches scurried about their offices, and glitter/stink bombs going off everywhere, is truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Catching the person who does the deed is probably extremely difficult, as this is generally done on one way streets, and they probably have a system of hand-offs that most certainly ensure that whoever got their phone stolen is never getting that device back.

However, the individual in this TikTok video had an idea: why not have someone as a plant with her window rolled down. She holds the cell phone up to hear ear closest to the window and pretends like she's intently listening to whoever is on the other line of the phone.

It's an addictive watch, because time and again several thieves attempt to lift the phone straight from the woman's hand and they're met with a taser every single time.

While there were many commenters who took joy in the clip and the fact that the man with the taser was attempting to shock the would-be thieves, there were also some who thought that it was cruel, considering that some of these thieves could only be stealing out of necessity.

However, seeing as they were so quick to run up on the car to take the phone, it seems like this is a practice they've done many times before.

What do you think? Was the taser experiment cruel and unusual? Or completely justified? Or do you think that he should've used a higher voltage and longer range weapon, like a cattle prod, as some TikTokers suggested?
