Rapper and singer Nicki Minaj rose to fame in 2007 with the release of her first mixtape and in 2009 she was signed by Lil Wayne to Young Money Entertainment. In 2010, her debut album "Pink Friday" hit No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 chart and featured her hit single "Super Bass."
She went on to release three more albums — "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded," "The Pinkprint" and "Queen" — with songs such as "Anaconda," which hit No. 2 in the United States.
Nicki is one of the most successful female rappers with over 100 million records sold worldwide and four Billboard Music Awards. Nicki has also acted, appearing in movies such as The Other Woman and Barbershop: The Next Cut. She was also a judge on American Idol in 2013.
In 2019, Nicki married boyfriend Kenneth Petty, and the couple welcomed a baby boy in 2020. Nicki has also been involved in some very public feuds with a few fellow female rappers, including Remy Ma, Lil Kim — who accused Nicki of copying her "Barbie" image — and Cardi B.
