The fantasy drama The Witcher is based on a novel series of the same name by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. Set in a fictional land known as "the Continent," the Netflix series follows Geralt of Rivia, Princess Ciri, and sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg at different points of time before they merge in the same timeline for the battle for Sodden Hill.

In 2021, Netflix announced The Witcher has been renewed for a third season.
