Actor, rapper, and entrepreneur Drake got his start on the Canadian television series Degrassi: The Next Generation, where he played basketball player Jimmy Brooks.

It wasn't until 2006 that Drake released his first mixtape, "Room for Improvement," and he was signed by Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment shortly after. His debut album, "Thank Me Later," topped the Billboard chart in 2010, and included his hit songs "Over" and "Find Your Love." He followed up the success of that album with "Take Care" in 2011 and "Nothing Was the Same" in 2013.

His fourth album "Views" was at the top of the charts for 13 weeks and in 2018, Drake dropped his double album "Scorpion," which featured three No. 1 singles ("God's Plan," "Nice for What," and "In My Feelings"). Drake left YME that same year.

Drake founded his own record label OVO Sound in 2012, which houses artists such as PartyNextDoor, Kash Doll, and Future the Prince. He also became the global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors in 2013. Along with music, Drake also has a successful fashion collaboration with Nike and a partnership with Virginia Black whiskey.

Over the years, Drake has had very public feuds with fellow artists such as Chris Brown, Meek Mill, and Kanye West. Following a back and forth with rapper Pusha T, it was revealed that Drake welcomed a son named Adonis with baby mama Sophie Brussaux in 2017. Drake confirmed the news on his album "Scorpion."

Drake has sold over 170 million records, has won four Grammy awards, and has the most top 10 hits in the history of the Billboard Hot 100.
