The 12th season of America's Got Talent wrapped up last night and there was one act this season that impressed both judges and fans alike. It was 12-year-old ventriloquist, Darci Lynne. While most ventriloquists just tell jokes with their dummies, Darci took it a step further and sang with them. Not only did she sing with them, she sang beautifully, without ever moving her lips.
In her first appearance on the show she mentions that she wants to keep ventriloquism alive because it isn't so commonplace anymore.
That first appearance got her the Golden Buzzer from judge Mel B, which automatically advanced her to the live shows. Darci Lynne eventually made it to finals where she sang a duet, kind of.
Last night was the season finale where a winner was finally declared. After several tense moments, Tyra Banks announced the winner.
Fans of the show all agree that it could not have gone to a more deserving contestant.
Best of luck in Las Vegas, Darci!
